30-day writing challenge ~ Day 8 (Best Friend) and Friday's Frock

Best friend.  WWFC Day 8 Topic.

I met one of my best friends in 7th grade.  We would exchange notes daily, pages and pages of nonsense.  I can't remember what we would write about.  We had code names, in case our notes were intercepted by a teacher, (Sam and Mo) Sam for Tami and Mo for Morrow.  We are friends to this day.

How could I not mention Mr. VZ?  He fits into the best friend category.  But when you think of bestest friendsies, it is more likely someone of the same sex, same species ... or not.

Friday's Frock - I'm feeling sorta black and white (and twirly) ~ Calvin Klein button-up sweater, Charter Club white eyelet sleeveless collared shirt, Sunny Leigh knee-length skirt and Donald Pliner ballet flats.

Goldie Hawn

Fred Astaire and Audrey Hepburn

  1. I remember those carefree days of passing notes in school and living large... ahh, the life!

  2. I used to get so bored in chemistry class I drew a cartoon of the teacher that eventually became an episodic serial. Then the teacher got a hold of it and wouldn't you know it; he was a serial killer.

  3. You're lucky to have friends you made in the 7th grade. My wife's best friend, well apart from me of course, is someone she met in Grade 4. They are fast friends to this day. Me, I've lost track of the friends I had through grade school and high school. But I still have warm memories of being best friends with them.

  4. I have to say, I love that photo of Astaire and Hepburn! 50 points for that, even if it doesn't have anything to do with the prompt, and another 200 for reminding me of note-passing in class. :-)
