Unbeknownst to some retailers (or perhaps they do know), that the official corporate name of a business has morphed into an entirely different name (or pronunciation).
Here are those that my family fondly refer to by nickname.
KFC - Kentucky Fried Rat.
Jack in the Box - Jack in the Crack.
McDonalds - Mickey Ds.
Taco Bell - Snaco Bell.
Target - pronounced "Tarjhay" like it was upscale French.
WalMart - Wally World.
Whole Foods - Whole Paycheck.
We have a lovely vegetarian restaurant in town, ION's =It's Only Natural, our nickname, It's only Expensive!
