I opted for 5 recipes from 1950 publication The Ford Treasury of Famous Recipes from Famous Eating Places.

Rumbudding with Sauce was a Christmas family tradition for us as evidenced by the well worn page from the recipe book. That is teetotaler mom's handwriting reducing the rum to 1 tsp.
Admittedly, I haven't tried this recipe but it sounds like a good one!
