Visible Monday and "Fact or Fiction" Day 25 topic of the 30M2D Writing Challenge

This outfit is from earlier in the month.  A professional photographer came on site for the company portrait sitting.  It was about time to update - our website images were over 10 years old!

I made an attempt at putting my hair up into a French twist.  I didn't have quite as much success as my hair stylist, but it was good enough.

Combining hops with the somewhat diverse blogs of Patti's Not Dead Yet Style

Anne Klein thrifted suit
Jones New York pastel pink collared shirt (retail)
Aerosoles gray pumps (retail)

Big hat and sunglasses and a whole lotta hair - so much fun.

And We Work for Cheese a blog about cheese (kind of) ~ their blog header posted below.
We Work For Cheese

Anyhoo, on with the show!  Fact or Fiction, yes folks, that is the topic of the 30 Days Minus 2 Writing Challenge topic.  Link to the others that are either providing factoids or a whole bunch of fiction.

Fact or Fiction

I am the product of J.P. Patches and Snagglepuss (heavens to Murgatroyd)!

I appeared on the television show Romper Room.

I am a graduate of the Carolyn Hansen Modeling School.

My comic strip series, entitled Sweet Nothings, was first published in 1989.

I toured Europe as a french horn player with America's Youth in Concert.

I was a violinist with the Scottsdale Symphony Orchestra.

I want to meet all of my 30M2D challenge cohorts IRL for a cheese-eating festival of absurdity in Montreal.

All fact or fiction are fact (with the exception of the first listed).

  5. Love that thrifted gray suit....and those shoes.
Interesting facts you've shared. I so wanted to be on Romper Room and get to bounce on those giant balls. Or just have the host see me at home in her mirror.

  6. Popping over from Patti's party! How's that for some alliteration!

You look beautiful in that suit. I can see that modeling school paid off by that confident pose!

I remember frantically waving at the TV when the Romper Room lady would look through her magic mirror and call out the names of the children that she could "see." I was always devastated that she never saw me. I've almost recovered from that crushing rejection! ;)

  9. I used to watch Romper Room every day and could never figure out why Miss What's Her Name never saw me in her magic mirror. And, truth be told I was a Don't Bee.

  12. TRUE: I am the product of J.P. Patches and Snagglepuss (heavens to Murgatroyd)!

TRUE: I appeared on the television show Romper Room.

Obviously TRUE: I am a graduate of the Carolyn Hansen Modeling School.

FALSE: My comic strip series, entitled Sweet Nothings, was first published in 1989.

FALSE: I toured Europe as a french horn player with America's Youth in Concert.

FALSE: I was a violinist with the Scottsdale Symphony Orchestra.

FALSE, because that would mean meeting me, and there's no way that can be true: I want to meet all of my 30M2D challenge cohorts IRL for a cheese-eating festival of absurdity in Montreal.

    1. I'll have to send a separate package (of just shoes) prior to the festival! I mean a girl's gotta be stylin ~

  16. As lovely as the suit it, it would wouldn't be as cool without the adorable shoes. Very of the moment looking, and lightens the look of the very serious suit. Looking pretty for business, lady.

  17. I am venturing to say this is not a pre-1986 vintage Anne Klein suit and is their cheaper line...fact?

  18. I am so going with you being a model school graduate!

  19. You're looking great! I wouldn't have even guessed that was a thrifted suit. I'm no good at this guessing game, but I think most of those sound pretty plausible. I confess to half-heartedly Googling the Sweet Nothings comic strip and finding nothing. So I'll say false to that one.

  20. I remember Romper Room. Kind of. Well, at least the name of it. Or something. So, fill us in? Which are fact/fiction??

  21. You look great! I love the cat picture too!

  22. I was a Romper Room groupie too many years ago...watched that show without fail, every single day! Had a blast reading this post! Thanks:)

  23. Like your shoes. I do wish you hadn't made me think of JP Patches as anyone's father. (I thought Gertrude was his girlfriend until she came running out of a parade to plant a big, sticky kiss on me.) (Took a week to get the last of "her" make-up washed off!) But I can imagine Snagglepuss catting around. But, other than that first statement, I would say all true.
