Day 3 of 30 days of photographs (Above my head)
Relying on the Beaux arts architecture in the building where I work to satisfy the challenge topic of "Above my Head." It's a bird, it's a plane - to visit the other photog challenge participants.
Stumbled across this image on another blog (couldn't resist re-posting) ...

It's wonderful to find architecture with some character. A lot of the newer buildings are so slick - boring!
ReplyDeleteThat's a beautiful building! And the cat photo is seriously funny!
ReplyDeleteI'd never heard of Beaux arts architecture until your post. I gather from your picture that it's a mix of 18th-century French and Romanesque architecture, but it puts me in the mind of New Orleans. Is that where you are?
ReplyDeleteOh, that's a very nice interpretation of the theme! I have to say, though, that cat is the best thing ever. ;)
ReplyDeleteThe shot of the ceiling is great! The cat steals the show though!
ReplyDeleteFor a minute there I thought that was your house. Wouldn't it be great to have something like that in your home. Wow. Nice shot.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful building! You can staring at upstairs and the ceiling for hours. Then be happy and tired like the cat. :)
ReplyDeleteLove the wrought iron!! Now I'm not much for cats, but that is cute.Don't tell anyone I said that.
ReplyDeletebeautiful lighting. lights was my 2nd option for a photo. and the cat photo is cute.
ReplyDeleteStunning architecture!
ReplyDeleteGreat symmetry, lines, light all that. Where is it? I should know this place, shouldn't I? Anyway, the cat photo cracked me up.
ReplyDeleteFine ceiling. Where I work we have exposed electrical conduit.
ReplyDeleteHave I seen that before? It looks familiar... in any case, it's gorgeous. Lucky you to work in such a beautiful environment! And that cat actually makes me think that not all cat pictures are evil. :-)
ReplyDeleteNice job Tami!
I'd love to have that above my head when I walked into the building where I work.
ReplyDeleteI look a lot like that cat after good candy binge.
I love, love, love that cat pic! The architecture is pretty too! :D
ReplyDeleteThat is really beautiful. You took a great shot too... if I tried to capture it, it would not be half as good...the lighting is excellent!
