Day 28 of 30 days of photographs (Autumn) and a Halloween Hop

It isn't autumn in the foothills without turkeys in the garden.  I know I've broken some kind of challenge rule posting a bird picture, but at least they are not pretty birds.  Count the total turkeys and you win a prize.

NOT

Might as well break all the rules on this post, I give you CAT - Madalin chillin in the Halloween tree (that almost sounds like it should be a song).

Images from earlier this month taken at Disneyland in Anaheim, California.

This doll creeped me out but fascinated me at the same time.  There was so much to see.  The Disney elves must have been working overtime decorating for this time of year.

You had to look UP to see all of the fall banners and pumpkins on the ledge at the Carnation Cafe.

Trick and Treats cupcake ceramics.

Halloween is right around the corner!

  2. I didn't know birds were not allowed - how can that be?! I've only seen one wild turkey in my lifetime. It scared me half to death by rising out of a clump of tall grass as I was walking down the trail...

  4. Wild turkeys are not the prettiest of creatures, but they are perfect for the topic today! Nice photos!

  5. The bird thing started last time around and it isn't a rule. MikeWJ's insanity rubbed off on all of us. One of the last round's prompts was Bird. He went around to everyone's post and posted about how evil birds are and all they do is peck your eyes out. It became a running joke. I took the brunt of the smackdowns because I adore birds and photograph so many.

    Sweet autumn shots today.

  6. "Madeline chillin' in the Halloween tree..." Surely Dufus has that song in his collection. But seriously... I think I count five turkeys! Is the correct answer five? Huh? Huh? There's autumn all over these photos.

  9. Birds are evil you know. You're lucky they didn't peck your eyes out. Because that's what birds do They peck your eyes out.

Or something. MikeWJ will know what to say. ;)

    1. I think you covered it fairly well. I might have inserted some screaming and sucking noises (when the eyeballs get pulled out) for added effect, but I think everybody gets the idea.

  11. I count six turkeys. Seven if you count the photographer.

Sorry, I couldn't resist that one.

I actually like your cat photo. I'm not sure why, because I hate cats. I must be feeling poorly today.

  16. I love the interesting perspective of the carnation building at Disneyland. I never noticed the detail of the top of the buildings before.

The pretty cat in the bag looks like one of our adopted kitties. Beautiful photo!

  18. Awesome images. I love the one with the gray cat in it. I miss the changing colors during the fall. Here in Manila it is the same old drab scenery. Even out of town everything remains green year round. Thanks for sharing. Cheers.
