Celebrate Oz and Friday's Frock

It is time to celebrate Altered OZ hosted by Olde Baggs 'n Stuft Shirts.  What perfect timing with the release of the new version of the movie, Oz the Great and Powerful.

Dorothy and Tin Man

Scarecrow and Cowardly Lion

The two witches

I was hoping inspiration would come to me by ozmosis to write an altered Oz story but the only thing that kept coming to mind was placing Dorothy in real time, crime-ridden Stockton, California - but I just couldn't do that to her.

So, I'm off to see the wizard in Friday's Frock ... and to visit the Altered Oz participants.

Jones Wear navy blue jacket
Cutter & Buck pink t-shirt
American Living navy floral print skirt
Costume jewelry heart pin
(all thrifted)

  4. You and I have something in common besides Oz. We both love thrift stores. For me, nearly every piece of clothing I wear comes from Goodwill. The only clothing I buy new are socks and underwear, for obvious reasons! LOL!!!

    Happy aLtEReD oZ 2013!!

  12. Am I seeing things, or does your Dorothy look a bit like me? Such a pretty girl (and I'm so modest). I think Dorothy would have stroke if thrown into today's society. The poor thing...

  14. I hate to say it but if Dorothy were alive today she's probably use drugs to get over that rainbow! That's really altered. What a fun challenge. I love the photo of you on the stairs!

  15. Love love love your altered characters. And I can tell how much you loved the story by not being able to place Dorothy in a bad situation. To me that speaks volumns about you and adds to this post.

Sorry I am so late, I've been ill but I am having so much fun now visiting all the blogs.

    Great post
    Hugs
