May Day ~

The roses in Sacramento are in full bloom this May Day.  The first bouquet of the season.

As a child, we would make May Day bouquets for the neighbors, a small conical shaped holder to place fresh flowers on the front door knobs ~ a doorbell ring, and then hide so the neighbors would have a flower surprise in celebration of the first of May.
