Countdown to Christmas begins today!
Hello everyone! Welcome to Year 5 of the Countdown to Christmas where I highlight holiday kitsch, retro images, a daily What I'm Listening To, and maybe an appearance of an Ugly Christmas sweater/outfit.
Let's begin with a classic - the macaroni Christmas tree.
Combining my Countdown with the X-mas Art Challenge 2016 over at deansdigest.wordpress.com. Day 1 prompt is "You in a Xmas Jumper"
There is also a holiday countdown going on at weallsew.com featuring holiday project tutorials and giveaways.
Pattern of the Day is a 1950 Simplicity children snow outfits in, of course, red and green.
What I'm listening to - Carpenters Christmas Portrait, a favorite in my collection of rescued CDs.
There might be a recipe of two from the 1950 Ford Treasury of Famous Recipes from Famous Eating Places.
These rare green spotted ceramic elves sold for over $100 on shopgoodwill.com, a treasure trove for vintage holiday goods.
More kitsch to follow as we count down to Christmas.
