Moments of Autumn

The monthly photo blogging challenge over at a lil hoo haa has the theme of Photographer’s Choice.  I chose moments of autumn.

The pumpkin patch near Kent, Washington was a popular place. Traffic for the off ramp near the event was backed up for over an hour.

Noisy birds congregated on the power lines.

Zipper pointing at some up country critter.

The neighbor bunny that visited frequently when I was at mom's.

These canned peaches were slices of heaven.  Canned by a friend, they were crunchy in a light sweetened syrup.

Please visit the others and their photographer's choice.

Entertainment has gone digital and a Rafflecopter giveaway

For years I bought the Entertainment book and would pour through the coupon offerings, planning events around the deals and specials.  When Entertainment approached me to promote their product, I was delighted!  Not only can you purchase the book of coupons with mobile and online coupons, you can also choose the mobile and online coupons only option.  You are not limited to discounts locally or in your near vicinity, coupons are offered in over 100 major cities in the United States and Canada.   The out-of-state coupons were especially helpful for my annual visit to my mom in Washington state.

My day of using Entertainment coupons started with lunch at the Mexican food restaurant La Bamba http://labambakent.com/ in Kent, Washington.  The food was a pleasant surprise, all delicious. Using this coupon was a great way to discover a local family restaurant.

Later, we enjoyed a buy-one, get one free Entertainment coupon mocha frapees at a local McDonalds.

Visits to Meeker Mansion and Johnny's at Fife are planned for later in the week.

Entertainment.com has graciously offered a giveaway code for 12-month online access to its coupon and discount offerings.  Good luck to all who enter to giveaway, I will post the winner.

Prints, toys and Pink Saturday

Supporting Breast Cancer Awareness with Beverly at Howsweetthesound and linking up for Pink Saturday.

This week's 52-pick-me-up prompt is "favorite toy" or inspired by toy.  This recent thrift shop find of a Sanrio McDonald's watch and light-up plastic pink ring are my current favorite toys and inspired my Pinkerday ensemble.

Share in Style prompt with Ms. Papelicos is "favourite-print."

Yes, there are bats in the belfry!

This darling Inc. brand dress, a thrift shop rescue, fits right in with this Northern California weather, now hovering around 80+ degrees.

This 1967 Simplicity pattern partially finished included green knit material - a gem of a find at $1.

Thrift shopping was a blast for me, spending around $5 for the lot of books, Retro Revamp, Funky Projects, from HandBags to Housewares by Jennifer Knapp, Classic American Farm Tractors, The Western Paintings of Frank C. McCarthy, and The Western Art of Charles M. Russell, the Heinz's Pearls tin (looks to be an original to me), and a couple of fake eyelashes (one pair in my lead off image).

Take time to take care of yourself!
